"Hearts on Fire" is the first single by Cut Copy taken from the band's second album In Ghost Colours. A re-edited version of the song was released on the 5 July 2008.
The music video portrays a young man (Dan Whitford) recovering from a break up. He is followed by rain which represents his sadness, and never being able to recover. Time goes by (demonstrated by the growth of his dog) and he finally lets go of the pain and continues his life without the rain following him, until the very end of the video during which he runs into his ex-girlfriend, and the rain begins again.
